2012 Graduate-Level Student Development Day - Friday, March 9th
CMS is pleased to announce that it will be holding this year’s
Graduate-Level Student Development Day on Friday March 9th, 2012. This
full-day event will take place from 8:30am to 5:00pm and will include
two workshops with Dr. Hendrie Weisinger (go to http://johnmolson.concordia.
Dr. Weisinger’s bio). The morning workshop is geared towards
helping students improve their performance in the job search (when
interviewing and networking) through developing a better understanding
of the role Emotional Intelligence plays. CMS will be inviting select
employers to have lunch and to participate with students in the
afternoon workshop which will be based on Dr. Weisinger’s upcoming book
Nerves of Steel. This workshop will provide attendees with practical
knowledge and strategies on how they can handle “high drama” moments in
the workplace and make sure they “come through” with nerves of steel (go

8:30am to 9:00am: Students arrive and register; continental breakfast
9:00am to 12:00pm: Emotional Intelligence in the job hunt (FOR STUDENTS ONLY)
12:00pm to 2:00pm: Lunch for Students and Employers; networking time
2:00pm to 5:00pm: Nerves of Steel on the job (STUDENTS and EMPLOYERS)
This event is for JMSB Graduate-Level Students/Alumni (MBA, MSc, Phd, GDBA/GCBA) only.
• $30.00 per ticket for current students and recent alumni (convocated at or after June 2011)
• $40.00 for alumni convocated before June 2011
Tickets will be available at CMS (MB004-305) as of the week of February 13th, 2012.
